Passion for couture

Heritage of a double European and Asian culture, Franco-Vietnamese designer Kim Wimmer became passionate about sewing at a young age. She never stopped growing her talent: as a child, she made princess dresses for her dolls; as a teenager, she sketched the pattern for her first little black dress; as an adult, she made sumptuous outfits to highlight feminine charm.

Kim Wimmer developed her creativity, sense of aesthetics and rigor with Alsatian companies, through an enriching professional curriculum devoted to interior architecture and technical textiles, for the realization of prestigious projects and the creation of innovative products. The birth of her son, incites her to renew with her first passion, sewing, by realizing a trousseau of layettes. With hard work, she finally realizes her dream of sublimating the female figure by creating her eponymous brand in 2021.

Sources of inspiration

Kim Wimmer's luxury ready-to-wear and exceptional dress collections are for the active, glamorous and open-minded woman, the business woman and innovative project bearer. Each piece is designed with precious fabrics and an intense attention to detail to magnify a clientele sensitive to refinement and luxury. The designer is inspired by luxury fashion and the shimmering world of Haute Couture dresses. Attentive to finishes, cuts and choice of materials, she signs refined and distinguished creations that combine modernity and tradition and where artisanal know-how is king.

.

Fascinated by women, fauna and flora, the designer draws her inspiration from them and invites them into her collections through materials (silk, lace, cashmere...) and patterns (ornament, embroidery, painting, print...). Each piece is the herald of bold artistic experiments and demonstrates a remarkable technical prowess. Hues, materials and symbols offer Kim Wimmer an inexhaustible creative terrain in the image of the jeweler René Lalique. The elements that mix and clash, give life to an epic of eclectic styles that perfectly meet the requirements of the modern woman, in tribute to the multiple facets of her femininity.

As the adventure unfolds

In 2019, Kim Wimmer begins to think about her career transition and sets up her design studio located in Upper Barr. Her collections are born in this charming setting located in Saverne (Alsace, France), a city with a prestigious past and a rich cultural and historical heritage.

At the very beginning of the health crisis in 2020, the designer made available thousands of masks at cost to fragile people. Her company was among the first to submit to IFTH its prototype of the ideal washable fabric mask according to AFNOR specifications. A precursor to the 3D mask, this mask has inspired millions of seamstresses and is now widely used in France and abroad. She has also created several collections of textile masks that are for sale on her online store www.maskland.shop.

As 2021 arrives, Kim Wimmer is inaugurating her online boutique to serve an international female clientele. This www.kimwimmer.fr storefront, free of geographical boundaries, showcases luxury women's ready-to-wear collections and allows customers to stay up-to-date on the brand's latest offerings and shop without the hassle of travel.

Her social commitment

Other than the pleasure of imagining and creating collections, Kim Wimmer's entrepreneurial drive is driven by social motivations and the desire to help generate jobs in Alsace, France. Today, the Kim Wimmer brand works with independent service providers and plans to collaborate with magazines and multi-brand platforms. She will stay true to her growth approach by surrounding herself with influential women who share the same values as the brand.

Tomorrow, she is recruiting new employees, specializing in clothing and design, but also in digital marketing, logistics, sales, IT, administrative and accounting management, after-sales service and others. The Kim Wimmer team will continue to grow in line with its evolution, in order to provide the best services to its customers and offer them a great shopping experience.

For a greener planet

Sensitive to environmental protection, Kim Wimmer seeks innovative solutions to reduce the ecological footprint of its collections and fight against waste. This commitment begins with the selection of raw materials. Fabric measurements for the garment are sourced as closely as possible and items are produced in limited quantities or according to a pre-order system.

It shows the same ecological concern for deliveries: ordered pieces are shipped in recycled cardboard packaging and the elimination of all superfluous packaging optimizes the volumes transported. The printed materials, made of paper or cardboard, are made of virgin, recycled paper pulp with the FSC label - a quality mark that certifies that the paper comes from sustainably managed forests. As for the protective covers, they are entirely recyclable. It also offers its signature tote bag in fabric and leather for various uses.
