To acquire your Kim Wimmer dress, you have two options: order the model of your choice remotely or imagine it by living an unprecedented shopping experience in her design studio located at 19 rue Erckmann Chatrian in Saverne, Alsace, France.
She welcomes you by appointment for a first exchange session, in a refined and warm atmosphere, in order to determine with you the line of products that best corresponds to your expectations, while giving you the benefit of her expert advice to make you look your best, according to your morphology and your tastes.
Behind the scenes of the creation
A successful bespoke tailoring project requires an average of three to four steps, from initial contact to the final fitting phase, through design, material sourcing and manufacturing.
Between the drafting of the pattern, the cutting and assembling of the pieces, the embroidery and ornamental work and the final finishing touches, hundreds of hours pass before an exceptional dress signed by Kim Wimmer is hatched.
The order time for a custom-made item thus varies on average from 1 to 3 months, but it can extend depending on the specifics of the dress.
The steps to create your dress.
The first meeting consists of defining your project, while benefiting from the expertise of the designer who will guide you and help you specify the nature of the dress or outfit you are looking for. To prepare for this exchange, we suggest that you bring photos of models that you particularly like, and/or others that you don't like, while specifying the reasons for your choices. The goal is to identify your tastes, specify your desires, determine your budget, in order to create THE dress of your dreams.
During a second appointment, in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, we will present you with the selected materials and sketches so that you can make your choices. You will be invited to touch different materials to appreciate their texture and to select the one that best suits you. We will carefully take your measurements to adapt the pattern to your body type and then begin the actual making process.
A third appointment will then intervene: this will be the time for the first fitting of the dress. If the realization gives you complete satisfaction, you will be able to leave with your model. If, however, there are still small details that need to be addressed, we will make the necessary adjustments and schedule a new fitting session, so that you can be fully satisfied.
The Castle of Saverne "The Alsatian Versailles"
It is at the gates of northern Alsace and Lorraine, in Saverne, that the designer Kim Wimmer chose to settle, seduced by the rich cultural and historical heritage of a city with a prestigious past, which still proudly testifies, in its pink sandstone finery, the sumptuous Castle of Rohan, nicknamed "The Alsatian Versailles" and still the Medieval Castle of the Haut-Barr.
